What does the USA Baseball bat stamp mean and what does it look like?
The bat stamp refers to the governing body that approves the bat for safety of the age group using it. More information can be found here. It is very important to only use USA Baseball approved bats at the 12U level to ensure the safety of all participants on the field. Bats that do not have the USA Baseball Stamp will be removed from play. There are many options from a variety of manufacturers in all price ranges. USA Baseball T-ball bats will have the stamp and will usually say "Tee Ball" on the barrel. These bats should only be used in t-ball. Machine and kid pitch will damage the bats and increase the likelihood of injury.
NOTE: Wood bats are allowed at all age groups and skill levels.
